DAUGHTERS - JOHN MAYER
Date: 10:20 PM

I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world
But she's just like a maze
Where all of the walls all continually change
And I've done all I can
To stand on her steps with my heart in my hands
Now I'm starting to see
Maybe it's got nothing to do with me

Fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too

Oh, you see that skin?
It's the same she's been standing in
Since the day she saw him walking away
Now she's left
Cleaning up the mess he made

So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too

Boys, you can break
You'll find out how much they can take
Boys will be strong
And boys soldier on
But boys would be gone without the warmth from
A womans good, good heart

On behalf of every man
Looking out for every girl
You are the god and the weight of her world

So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too [x3]

Wow i haven't posted in eons. Actually i haven't made up my mind about my eng name but whatever, there's so much time for me to think about it.

My computer just informed me that i have 0 disk space.

WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!!

But,just to make sure, i deleted 8 GB ++ of things.

HOW CAN IT BE MAN.

But i save a copy of some songs i have in my phone and sometimes i save a copy of some pictures that i have in Picasa. And my bro downloaded a few games, but they don't occupy THAT much disk space. MY computer is cheating me. HEH.

BUT it still doesn't make sense.

It can't be that much!

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear ... "
1 John 4:18

"The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever."

By the way do you know that there is an Yee Clan Association? The Yee means my surname 余 which means if converted to English it is Ee Clan Association.

My ah gong is a member and gosh, it is such a cool association. 2009 is their 81st anniversary. I am proud of my surname:D:D

I googled it and found some info about it on the web. :

First found in the Spring and Autumn Period of China, the Chancellor of Qin known as Yao Yu, Yu is a typical name in the southern area of China. The place of origin of this name is likely to be in Feng Xiang (é³³ç¿"), Shaanxi to the area of Xian Yang (å'¸é™½). It is first said to appear in the Han Dynasty. The Yu people moved into the county of Xi (歙縣), Anhui. After that, the surname has spread quite well in the south China, but much weaker in the northern China. Many of the them moved to southern China, into counties like Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Jiangxi. In the time of Southern and Northern Dynasties, the Yu people have already became a tribe in the prefecture of Xin An (新安郡), Luoyang. Because of the war in the north at that time, people moved to the south, in places like Hunan and Hubei. It was after Tang Dynasty, when the surname finally became popular, and is very famous in the southeast area of China. At this moment, people moved into other places like Fujian and Guangdong. In the later part of the Tang Dynasty, Yu in the northern part became popular too.

Vietnam trip part 2
Date: Saturday, December 5, 2009 9:57 PM

After talking to Geng Hao, i feel obliged to write more about my Vietnam trip.

Our flight was at 11am i think, and we were supposed to meet up with our reatives at 8am.

So i woke up at 6am and ate breafast at the airport's BK!!A grand total around 30++ of our family members went on the trip together.

We met our tour guide(singaporean), Edwin, who is 27 years old. We took a group photo at the airport and everyone was staring at us o.0

We squatted and my legs nearly gave out coz there were around 6-8cameras???!?

By the way i think that Singapore has the most beautiful passport in the world. The symbol makes our passport look super proffesional.

/Listening to Cannonball by Damien Rice/

On the plane i watched Coco Before Chanel( we sat SIA) which was at some points, intriguing, but at other times also immensely boring=...=

In the end i watched halfway and offed it and simply listened to music coz my eyes hurt.Seriously, do the flush in airplanes' toilets have to be so loud??

I might be going deaf. Everytime i press the flush button i quickly cover my ears. Gosh if you were there you would laugh like crazy coz i'm sure it looks comical, but GEE. That sound can make my ears explode.

Anyway we were a whole lot of people and since the people arranged for us different seats,we were trying to exchange seats LOL.

When we were getting out of the aeroplane i suddenly needed the toilet and (i think) since the aeroplane had already landed, there was pathetic water dripping out of the tap. And when i pressed the soap button the soap splashed on me and onto my feet(i have no idea how too). Since there wasn't enough water i had to walk out of the plane with a little soap at my feet(i was wearing sandals).(Comical right-.-)

When we reached Vietnam we got a shock. The airport toilet cubicles were unable to be locked-.-

Lucky i got one that could be locked. A lady was not that lucky and while she was peeing halfway the door just swung open. Oopss. According to my mum. I didn't notice that coz i was busy splashing water on my feet to clean it.

Xingmin suggested(jokingly) me to put my feet in the basin to wash, but no way man. LMAO. Way unglam esp since its in an airport toilet.

Oh it's 10.30 pm.

Anyway when we got out and checked out Xing min remembered that she forgot her packet of sweets in the toilet.

When i came out she even said to me," Aiya my plastic bag is in the toilet cubicle. Nevermind after ah ma come out i go take." in chinese.

But she forgot coz she was busy contributing to the water at my feet HAHA.

A word of warning: Vietnam airport is really NOT like Singapore's airport.

We met our vietnamese tour guide and together with Edwin we were led to our bus.

Our family filled the whole bus,LMAO.SO COOL!

Except there were a couple and originally i thought they were part of our extended family or were somehow related to us,but actually they were not.

Their original tour group was cancelled due to too little people in that grp and they got arranged to be in our group, which all consists of family members:D:D

Anway the couple was really kind. Surname's Lim.

We went to check in at our hotel, Flower Garden Hotel, which was rather pretty=))

I shared a room with my bro and sis and my parents a room. Coz there were only 2 or 3 beds per hotel room.

And we got allocated a room on the eleventh floor while everyone else's was on the 7/8/9/10 floor.

Cool. I don't mind.

There was complimentary fruits but i was abit scared to eat it(scarly not fresh...food poisoning etc...who knows how long they put the fruit already...etc) but in the end i still ate it.

Then we were arguing about who was going to bathe first, which is really classic.

After that we went to a restaurant for dinner and went to shop the night market.

There wasn't really much to shop for although there were alot of shops. They were either all selling the same things or had prices no different from Singapore or even more ex. =X

Oh anyway i'll continue in another post. Ciao~ Gotta go coz my dad is calling me to off the com.

P.s can anyone please tell me what exactly does (Y) mean??!??!?

Oscar Wilde
Date: 9:05 PM

I was just browsing through quotes from Oscar Wilde andi saw some interesting ones.

Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.

Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone elses opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.

If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

Most modern calendars mar the sweet simplicity of our lives by reminding us that each day that passes is the anniversary of some perfectly uninteresting event.

What is a cynic? A man who knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Oscar Wilde's quotes are simple yet true. His quotes set people thinking. 8D

Hanoi
Date: Friday, December 4, 2009 12:00 PM

P.S My Hanoi pictures are on Facebook.

Things about Vietnam:

1) They eat dog meat as easily as we eat chicken meat.

2) They eat dog meat at the end of the month and cat meat at the beginning of the month.

3) Their coffee is rich.

4) Trying to cross their roads needs skill

5) About 80 percent of their vehicle population is made up of motorcycles

6) Most motorists don't care about traffic lights

7) Motorists horn like we breathe. It's super noisy on vietnam roads because there's always 'Beep beep beep!'. It's probably just music to them- they horn freely and sometimes for no reason.

8) It is easy to haggle in the Night market at Halong Bay( I got a bag at 3 SG dollars and 4 necklaces at around 10 dollars, which is the price for ONE necklace in Singapore.)

9) Shopping at Hanoi is not really good coz prices aren't much far off from SG and they sell almost the same things.

10) Shopping centres that sell branded overseas goods( Chanel, Prada, Addidas, Puma, Nike, Burberry, Dr Martens etc) ARE SUPER EXPENSIVE. They burn your butt off. Don't expect the price to be cheaper than in Singapore. On the contrary, it is around 50 percent to 100 percent higher than in Singapore=((

11) Their hotels provide good service. Just find a reliable one and you will be impressed.

12) The food and drinks in the hotel room are complimentary, unlike in China or Malaysia where you have to pay. But beer is not.

13) By the way, beer in hanoi is much better than beer in Singapore. Even their Heinekein(did i spell it correctly) is better.

14) You MUST visit Halong Bay and Ho-Chi Minh Musuem if you go there.

15) All of the women there wear skinny jeans and they all sell very trendy jeans( in Hanoi)

16) Most men in vietnam stay at home while women work. It's opposite from SG

17) Their food is light(qing dan),which is why Vietnamese are mostly petite/small and skinny.

18) Their traditional costume is really pretty but you better have a trimmed waist as abit of the waist is exposed.

19) Some sellers quote you a price and when you give them more money, expecting them to give you change, they pretend what you've given is what they quoted or give you lesser change than what you should get. So count your change and it's best to give them the exact value.

Vietnam
Date: Thursday, December 3, 2009 7:56 PM

BACK FROM VIETNAM!!!

I seriously lazy to post about everything, but VIETNAM COFFEE REALLY ROCKS.

I climbed a mini hill and my thigh was aching. We were 3rd!

This trip to vietnam mademe realise how lucky i am to be a Singaporean, not kidding.

Not that vietnam is run-down or what, but it just makes me treasure Singapore more.

But one thing is that vietnam's airport really needs VAST improvements.

The doors of some toilets can't be locked, you get the idea.

But its hotels provide seriously good service.Anyway i thought i lost my hotel card when i checked out ths morning and was all around finding it when XM told me probably they will charge a fee if no card is returned.

In the end i found it in my luggage.

Bleah bleah. Then XM was like sign-launguaging to a cleaner abt the charge, but unsuccessful. The cleaner was very cute and friendly though!

I slept with my bro and sis but on the last night my 2 cousins Jia Yan and Xing Min came over and my bro went over to another room andwe talked till 1.30++ am.

We were talkin about our childhood and how we met and laughing like crazy. I thought we would wakeup our tour guide Edwin who was next door to us.

Whew.Lucky they went out for coffee. SEE!! This is also proof that viet coffee ROCKS LIKE....BOOMMZ.

!

My parents bought a lot. The spent like half an hour shopping for coffee in viet's mart Citimart. -.-

It doesn't allow bags inside(coz afraid people steal) so i waited outside with my parents' bag.

There were two tour guides-one from vietnam(Ah Shi) and the other Singaporean(Edwin).

Ah Shi kept talking about 'yellow' jokes which were sometimes funny or sometimes lame.

Edwin is rather caring towards my ah ma and the elderly in the group, even helping them up stairs and chatting with them:)

Hm both have their good points. I was rather impressed with the viet tour guide coz he knew ALOT about Singapore.

Edwin is 12 years older than me, like exactly a cycle in the chinese horoscope.

Cool!

Anyway i shall upload pictures on facebook.

Bye!:D
